Tomorrow getting first T

Hi Tomorrow getting my first T, dreading it as I’ve found the nausea with FEC awful, any advice what I’ll be like on Friday (day 2 ) as my husbands brother is getting married and I need to try to go. With the FEC I was very sick on day 2, really hoping the T doesn’t kick in as fast

Hi I had my first T 11 days ago and I was very nervous. I had a lot of nausea with FEC but none with the T which was a huge relief. I still took all the anti sickness as advised but did not feel sick at all. I was fine on days 2 and 3 but effects kicked in on the evening of the third day. I think the steroids helped in the first couple of days. You should be fine for the wedding. I won’t lie and say it’s been easy and I felt pretty rough for a few days but I am feeling much better now and making the most of it until next time. It’s harder physically then FEC but it does  pass.

fingers crossed you have an easy time with it.

Hi Gillian, I’d say the same as Claire. I’m day 10 of my first T and the side effects didn’t kick in until the evening of day 3, whereas with FEC the dizziness etc kicked in almost immediately. I wasn’t given any antisickness medication this time, just the steroids (which are antisickness as well) and they put an antisickness drug in the drip at the time aswell. I think you’ll be fine to go to the wedding too
I’ve found the length of time Ive had to endure the aches and pains tough, I have 7 days of injections so today is the first day without so I’m hoping pain free!
Good luck, and I hope you have a lovely time at the wedding

Thank you Claire & Kim for your advice, feeling really good tonight so different from the FEC - really delighted hoping to get through tomorrow feeling just as good, Kim what were the injections you got? I got Naproxen tablets for the pains.
