Top tips for presents

The top tips mail was great. As a friend of someone about to go through all of this I was hoping to get some ideas from you all about what it’s like and therefore what presents to buy at different stages. The top tips mail has given me loads of practical ideas. How about compiling a present list for friends / relatives? It would be great to know what smells / tastes etc are nice to recieve and what are total no nos (tho I reaslise that will differ from person to person) and also, like the caps, and soft hairbrushes what other practical really useful gifts you coul suggest? Do you feel like reading during Chemo? Thanks so much for your ideas so far

Hi Cazzah

I seemed to spend hours in the bath as it was comfy and relaxing and as my skin had gone dry really nice moisturising bath potions were great, any contributions were gratefully received. So maybe something special in that line.

Also hands were dry and nails in a bad way so maybe some good quality handcream.

Yes I read for England, we only live round the corner from the library so I went every week, with hubby in tow as porter. I couldn’t tell you what I read or have even tell you whether or not they were good books, but I read about a book a day. I aslo collected books from charity shops and accepted everyones cast offs. So perhaps a useful help would be the offer of a weekly or fortnightly lift to the library.

Half an hours ironing or cleaning is always welcome

It’s nice to have friends who care
