Have you tried Marks and Spencers. I’ve just used them for a trip to Greece (I’m on Tamoxifen but took out policy when having Rads) It was the cheapest quote.
My mum also used it (she’s 70 next week)- she hasn’t had cancer but has other health issues and again M & S were the cheapest.
Could also try Medici travel insurance. I have had bc but my OH has several “worse” conditions and they have covered them all. He is 69 by the way. Others have refused or quoted much more.
I cant help with the over 70’s bit as Im only 36, but right from 2 months after rads, and being on hormone treatment, Ive always been covered (to inc. bc) with Tesco. I only pay about £50 extra.
Hi
My husband and I have recently returned form a two week holiday touring Europe. We have trouble getting health insurance. My husband has a bad back and is waiting for the result of an MRI scan. I had a mastectomy for breast cancer in June. The insurance company said they would insure either my husbands bad back or my breast cancer - not both. After much discussion we decided to take the cheapest option and not insure his back or my cancer. Maybe not a good idea but it saved us over £100. We decided if either of us needed treatment while on holiday we would just have to drive back to the UK asap. I don’t think this helps, but it makes me soooo cross that being ill costs so much money.

Hi to all to tried to help and all who are still looking.
I decided that I must have full cover when abroad, even though I have EHIC. I finally used one firm but then discovered that the insurers they use are columbusdirect. I found that if I googled columbusdirect I could get a discount when booking on line. I have paid £116 for me and my friend, both over 70, for 3 weeks in the Canaries. I also phoned the new Age UK and discovered that we could have annual cover for £300. This is good value if you takes lots of holiday a year as it covers the UK and Europe and I will do this from next year.
Did you try insurancewith.com? They seem to be offering great prices for people with cancer and I think they have no maximum age. I noticed a lady on the 2ndry Forum also recommended them, so they must also cover people with 2ndry cancer. I have used them twice now and I can’t get anyone to beat their prices, and I have looked at the other companies that people have mentioned.
I found Martin Lewis’s site very useful for finding pre existing condition travel insurance. I will post the link here, but if removed google moneysavingexpert and go to his travel page.
Also, Go Travel are good for the same.
I am 66 and oh is 74-we tried miaonline and insurepink.Insurepink was cheapest for me and mia for him but insurepink gave the best joint rate[single trip to Italy].This was just a couple of weeks ago.
Good Luck

I have noticed that the lady who created Insurepink has now left and is working for insurancewith.com. I have checked the prices on both and Insurancewith always comes out a bit cheaper than Insurepink, and Insurancewith also donate money to a cancer charity for every policy sold.
I have just got cover from Insurancewith for 1 week in Spain for £19.50, Insurepink were £22.50 for the same policy, I know it is not much of a difference but every penny counts!
Something else to think about - some of the banks offer travel insurance with their current accounts. I’ve been told that pre-existing conditions are covered by at least some of these so could be worth looking into.
