Hi I was reading this article,Everolimus Plus Exemestane Improves Bone Health in Post-Menopausal Women with Advanced Breast Cancer, and I hadn’t heard about the Bolero 2 trial and wondered what people knew. The link to the article is below.

I would be interested in hearing what people think.
That is interesting. I will certainly be mentioning it to my onc when I see her next week.
Thanks for the link DollyMolly.

Thank you for the information. Would certainly be useful in extremis, but Everolimus has to be treated with caution, because it’s an immunosuppressant that can leave people very vulnerable to infection.
My understanding is that trials have been agreed in this country and are likely to start later in the year ? october…not sure what the entry criteria will be yet. ie how many previous hormone treatments for secondary disease/if any and also what previous chemos/ if any.
Thanks for the post DollyMolly - have printed it off and will be talking to Oncologist about the trial when I see him next week at my Radiotherapy consultation. Ta much x
I would be interested to hear what the oncologists say. So if you have time please update. I don’t know what to think. I didn’t know about the side effects mentioned above - so thank you for that.
My understanding from the article is that Phase III trials are complete - 2009-2011. The article posted above was 2012.
