Ladies

Do keep any eye on whether they kept the mobile ward screen (that I fought for) in the planning suite. Also come back and tell me if those awful toilets you have to change in even have a coak hook of the bakc of the doors yet? And are they still dirty and cole with the window wide open due to the smell and the bin overflowing.

All the best.

hi well tomorrow will be third way through.

Gilly, most of appts around 12.30 now until the last week dec 8th all at 11 so let me know if you will be there - my machines are la4 and la5

Dahlia - sorry to say the loos are still the same, tried to change into gown but still no hooks found a better loo by the la4 machine. The radio rooms do have a curtain and chair to get changed by.

Lynda

Hi Lynda,

Sorry for the late reply, I don’t actually start my Rad’s until 3rd of Dec. Just in a que I suppose I did moan a bit but what can you do, I had my surgery on the 7th Oct. I realise that you have to wait to heal up but it does feel like a long time I just want to get this treatment finished. I have been allocated La2 throughout.

Regarding the loo’s, not really encountered them yet I just got changed behind a curtain in the planning suite, I’m a bit past caring who see’s my only boob now! I feel like I have been a bit of an experiment these past 8 month’s. Anyway the loo’s in Blenheim ward are really grim with everyones samples collecting on the floor and leaking out, it was an interesting and eye opening experience to say the least!

Anyway I hope your rad’s are going ok Lynda I think you will be finished before I start so I hope all goes well for you.

Hi Dahlia,

Of course I care for my well being and anyone else who has been or is in this dreadful situation. I have had plenty to say regarding my treatment and some of the awful consulting rooms and toilets. If I can do anything to try and help others and myself I do and I hope that when the new hospital opens things will be a lot nicer for everyone including the staff, that have to work and attend to sick people in dreary surroundings and try and remain cheery.

Sorry if you took my comments the wrong way I have a bit of a black sense of humor which to me has been helpful with being able to cope with this horrid illness.
Best wishes

Hi Lynda,

Sorry to read that things are swollen and itchy I hope it is not horrible for you. Did they tell you at the start of your Rads that you would need boosters? No one has mentioned them to me just that I need 13 lots, I decided against reconstruction so I am not going every day for my rads, all to do with fine zapping or super zapping and being kinder to your skin.
My appointments are around 11.00 and 1.30ish I could say look out for the bald one but I fear their could be a few us there! Actually my hair is growing back now although it does appear to look like fuzzy felt!

Anyway best wishes to you

Gilly x
