Can we have your feedback re: the triple negative room which you have requested?
We have asked our clinical nurse specialists for advice and their thoughts are to have the category under ‘Living with breast cancer’ or ‘Treatment’ or ‘Talking to others in a similar situation’?
Wonderful!I think 'talking to others’would be an appropriate place for this sub forum. Many of out treatments are the same as others as are our 'Living with…'situations.
Thanks,Val
I too think that it is appropriate under the ‘Talking to others in similar situation’ banner. This is because for those with primaries we have no further treatment options which can make us feel isolated; those who have sadly gone on to secondaries can then post under the secondaries banner.
I have often found triple neg thrads under there and don’t like to presume to join in, whilst at the same time, can still identify with this often neglected ‘poor relation’ of breast cancer.
With the new research now going on at Guys and st Thom’s, maybe we can finally have something to celebrate in terms of research and breakthrough treatments!
Best wishes,
Jax
Triple negative means that the tumor is not triggered by oestrogen, progesterone or Her2 …basically Tamoxifen or an AI and herceptin as a treatment is no use in treating it. Is this what you have? Chemo/radiotherapy is the main active treatment.
I am not a triple negative woman myself and I’m sure there will be others along shorlty to help you…
