Sorry to hear what an awful time you’ve been having lately… Hope the ABs help with the chest infection (pneumonia is a chest infection btw and prob more likely to be pneumonia than bronchitis)… Glad you got the funding for the erubulin sorted bummer about the hairloss again but hope it zaps the cancer cells as much as the hair cells.
Love and hugs and hope things improve and you have a wonderful Christmas.
And hope all you other ladies have a great Christmas too.
Thanks lulu. Thankfully no mention of lung mets off the xray so I’ll happily take pneumonia! Awaiting a scan appt for a new baseline in the next fortnight so fingers are tightly crossed 4that. Have a Merry Christmas anyway Lulu u deserve it xxx

hello to everyone, and happy anniversary for tomorrow laura …tina am sorry to hear of your chest probs and the attitude of the nurse involved we have enough to deal with without that too , but so glad you are getting eribulin hope it works wonders…well i am pleased cos my treatment is now transferred to my local hospital for chemo so just 20 mins drive instead of 2 hours, christie is a fantastic hospital but my god apparently all chemo sessions run late and still treat at 1 am some days just rows of chairs like aconveyer belt so frustrating waiting around so will be happy with local hospital and lovely nurses…cant feel any improvemant at all yet after 2 sessions my remaining breast such a mess rock hard and red and purple and really sore today, my kids ,have been great have put my decs up, done my shopping and wrapping , have just been brill, am feelig bit brighter this week still no where near what i want to be but take it day by day, love to you all and merry christmas xxxx
Wishing a very Happy Christmas to all the Triple Neg Girls, hoping for memorable family and/or friend times (or blissful solitude if your prefer!)for all of you with NO medical surprises or extra hospital trips being involved. Actually I can add no visits from plumbers or electricians as well!
And in 2012 may they make progress in sorting out something else hopeful and really effective for us
Love and strength to you all

Dear all
Hope you all have a memorable Christmas and spend time with the special ones in your life. Hope Tina and Laura feeling better and hope you feel better soon Rachel.I hope you have some energy sadie when you wake on Christmas morning. Love and prayers to everyone else on here that next year brings better health for us all. There are various phase 1 trials at marsden but am being tested for receptors currently so think find out in new year as takes 2 /3 months, One is for abiatarone but need androgen receptor. I am not over 45 or post menopausal either but this hasn’t been mentioned. I’ll just wait to see if have any receptors first and hope I do as need a break of chemo after 18 months. We holidayed in Cotswolds and was lovely bUt very tiring with 4 kids as at home I get a rest. We’ve been tracking Santa on Santa tracker this evening and my 3 year old so excited to put carrots out etc so has been lovely and pray I get to do that with his little brother who is 18 months now.
There was a big conference in states my Onc went to other week but haven’t heard of any new treatments yet or if anything new discovered as we all want for Christmas
Wishing everyone a nice day

Hello ladies
hope you are all doing ok + enjoyed Xmas we had a lovely day and our house resembles toys r us now (!) but my little man had a ball + still is! Preparing my head for the new chemo on weds, stressing about the potential hair loss + am considering calling the chemo unit tomorrow to see if coldcap us an option. Any of u ladies been offered cc since your secondary dx?
Chest feels ok, no more wheezy than usual but I’ve been havin stingy pains in liver area which is really worrying me. Glad to be having a new chemo hopefully it will work wonders. I’ve a scan booked in for nxt wk but I’m going to call + try + get a cancellation sooner. Think I’ll be pretty shattered by the end of nxt wk coz eribulin is given on day 1+ 8. hoping the se’s won’t be too bad though.
Quite a few of us having chemo this wk- good luck lulu+ wendy. Hopefully we will be ok to celebrate new yr.
Sarah, wendy + rachel- so glad to hear you have enjoyed Christmas. Hope the rest of you have too xx

hi all hope u had a fab xmas gd luck to all on chemo this wk no tina i wasnt offered cc at my hos but maybe it was because my chemo took 6 hrs and it wasnt in that room my scan thurs cant wait for results even though im dreading them tc all laura x
Hi Tina,
just to say my bestfriend Heather started Taxol /Avastin when Sadie did, seems like she has been on it forever, mut be at least 6 months. You may remember I posted that she was NED at last scan. She has had cold cap throughout, and though she lost eyebrows and lashes she has had no hair loss at all,I hope you are able to have it and get the same good result. I don’t think H found it very comfortable as she said if it is going to work it has to be pulled down very tight, but she has definately found it worth the discomfort.Hope this helps!!

Hi ladies
how us everyone doing? Hope this thread is quiet simply because every1 fcusing on enjoying Xmas instead of bc for a change Hope everyone is copng ok x
wendy + lulu, hope chemo went well today girls x
laura- how did the scan go? Any idea when you will get results? Good luck x
love to Rachel, sadie, jo, sandra + anyone else readin x
kim, thanks for your encouraging post about the coldcap. So glad it’s worked well for heather! I was given the go ahead today, endured it for over an hour (found the tightness on my forehead unbearable, but persevered). Kept tellng staff temp seemed not cold enough but kept reassuring me all was well- only to find out that I was right + it wasn’t connected properly!! So temp was eratic + it was a waste of time. Still got imprints on forehead 7hrs later. Having no luck- endless cock ups with chemo nurses at the mo
I’m ranting again- sorry ladies. Just fed up. Am I not going thru enough? Is it too much to ask to expect he nurseslooking after me to be fully competent + professional?!?
Also never got any steroids to take home but every1 else I’ve chatted to on here havin eribulin does hav2 take steroids. One lady even had liver damage due to skipping steroids! Saw a different onc today + we discussed steroids but nurse adamant I didn’t need any. Going to phone ward tomorrow for confirmation off an onc coz honestly I’m losing confidence. Didn’t even get usual anti sickness (ondansetron- don’t need them either apparently?). Hope they’re right…
Sorry- I’m trning into victor meldrew aren’t I Lol!! it’s just not like me Can u blame me tho?
Love to all xxx
Tina, sending you a hug, what a tough time you’re having. I don’t blame you for lacking confidence, it would shake my faith too after what you’ve been through.
I hope to goodness the nurse is correct, but you have every right to question and double check, they must understand that surely?
I had chemo earlier, on Tuesday. I was so worked up I’m afraid I vomited They were very understanding though.
I’m worried gemcarbo has stopped working too. My breathing is suffering again and my recurrence has really swollen up again, I hope I’m wrong. Scan due on 5 January so we’ll find out after then.
Hello ladies it was great to read you had such good christmses.
Tina what a worry for you yet again,… You really need them to have a sTandard treatment… Hope you Can get it all sorted out.
Wendy sorry you had an awful time at your Chemo on tue… I had mine yesterday Thursday and went ok… Wa only 6 hours… Very tired when I got in then perked awake again tonight but starting to feel like I could do with my bed now… Should feel ok for the next couple of days before going down hill over the weekend and next week.
Night night ladies and hope your new year is fun filled.
