Triple Negative

Hi Everyone

I’m sitting here 2 years on and going for yearly mamogram .I was wondering is there not something we can do to promote Triple Negative Breast Cancer I was thinking of doing the moonwalk next Year with some t shirts printed not to forget us I think it should be brought to the headlines we have a deadly disease that has no follow on drugs to help this disease and though I think all cancers are as deadly as the other Ifeel we have no safety net and need to get some finacial help to triple negative too I don’t want to harm or hurt anyone just think we need to stand or walk together and do this what do you think?

Hi
Triple negative also so I agree that anything which can raise our profile has got to be a good thing. However, coming from the North East the Moonwalk would be too far for me to travel (money an issue since giving up work). If you do decide to go ahead, very best of luck and if you decide on something else, let me know.

Yep it is a worry this triple neg business, i was also diagnosed 2 years ago there seems to be quite a lot of triple negs on the site, i remember there was one lady on the site at some point trying to get something going to campaign for us triple negs. I think you should post on after treatment has finished, you might get a better response
over and out.

I too am triple negative - only had that confirmed on Tuesday. I am over half way through chemo, then surgery then rads. I did mention to my bcn about being worried about not having an ‘insurance policy’ like tamoxifen or herceptin but she said not to worry about this as the tumour has not been fed by hormones - i.e. is not hormone receptive and not her 2 positive so getting chemo, surgery and rads is all that is needed - so I am trying not to worry. Although I was worried I am also relived at not requiring herceptin or tamoxifen as I have read of so many others on here suffering awful side effects from these drugs which severely affect there quality of life and some have had to come off them because of this. So I for 1 am trying to look on the positive side (including no weight gain - vain I know!!!)

Thats just my thoughts - although I do agree with trying to raise the profile - before being diagnsed with bc I never knew about all these other things to consider!

Hugs to all

well Fiona39. they do say that triple neg people respond to chemo better, so thats a plus. Also its seems to be very rare for E+P to be Her2 Positive which is also good news, good luck with your treatment.

Thanks Kippy
