Hello everyone,
I had my second chemo two weeks ago and was told that my tumor reduced its size . It’s great. It’s not too much but good news are good news. Anyway, as Iread a thread here on this site about the markers and asked for one , even if they thought it was too early to do it. I went for an ultrasound today and Iwas told that they would put me the marker as well. All done, it’s a bit unconfortable but that’s it. The lady who did that, she was great , told me that that my tumor is very small and it’s good that I’m having the marker, that is a kind of tiny wire that is inserted with a needle and put in the place where the tumour is, so in case it dissapears, the surgeon will know where it was exactly. That is very helpful , according to what Iread in this forum to decide whether to perform a mastectomy or lumpectomy. It means that knowing where the tumor started could make a difference between doing thoseeither procedure
I.found the link so you could read more about this.
