Update from an old friend

Hi to all my lovely friends on this site…how are you all doing?

I have finally had my operation…“right sided areolar duct excision”… you may remember, I have lung issues and my op was postponed due to a bad lung infection.  After a course of antibiotics, they operated this Monday.  I was so nervous about the anaesthetic - the anaesthetist told me that although I wasn’t the most nervous patient he has seen in his career, I certainly was the most nervous one of the day…  don’t know why I made this fuss- one minute , the young nurse told me to get on to the table, the next minute the anaesthetist was there with the needle and then I heard my name "heather, you’re in recovery "

Home the same evening, to a freshly made bed,… New duvet  and all (courtesy of my lovely daughter in law), fridge full of food (courtesy of daughter) …anyway, daughter stayed with me for 2 nights.

I have no pain at all…went to wound clinic…healing well,… seeing Surgeon on 31st for follow-up and results.  Post-op, he told me (as he always has), he did not see anything sinister, but only biopsy results will confirm (Pappiloma?).  He told me that I will have a slight deformity of the breast…the nipple will recede.  Who cares?

i am not allowed to drive for 2 weeks - depending for lifts on family and friends.

I fancy a nice spicy lamb biriyani tonight, so I will ask my daughter to pick me some from the local Indian takeaway.

I have been checking in on all you brave, sweet ladies…some are having a hard time, I know.  BE BRAVE AND FIGHT THE FIGHT ,!!!

Love and thanks for everything

Heather xxxx

Hellooooo it is so good to hear from you and that all is going well after your op.  Thats great news.

Sounds like you are being well looked after

Whenever I lean forward I have a big dimple, but I look on it as my war wound following my fight with bc.

Take it easy now as you recover from you op and hopefully you will be on here regularly to let us know how you are getting on.
