Hi everybody. My mum saw an oncologist the other day, and he said that its highly unusual for breast cancer to return to just one area (her hip). However, if this is the case, she may be able to have surgery, and it may be curable! However, a scan has shown an area of thickening on her lung, although this could be a scar from previous radiotherapy. We are waiting for more results to see what this is.
I’m not going to get my hopes up because we still dont know the full extent of everything. However, this will hopefully give hope to many sufferers who read this.
