firstly i’d like to say what a wonderful site this is!
I wish i’d have found this three weeks ago.
i just wanted to post here because when i had to go for the biopsy (above), i didn’t know what to expect, and i stupidly kept looking things up on google. Such a bad thing to do!! that just made me really scared, as some people had written that it really hurt and was so painful, so i just wanted to let people know that just in my circumstances, it didn’t hurt at all! bearing in mind, i didn’t have a lump, i went because my nipple started to invert, and while checking that, they found califications that they wanted to check.
they just sit you down, and position you so that they can to the part of the breast they need to take the sample from.
then it just was like a little scratch, where they froze the skin, and then it was a little uncomfortable while they took the samples, and i could hear a clicking sound, and then it was done!
i took a painkiller that night, and my breast has only a little bruise.
that was last tuesday, and i got my results today…thank God…all clear!
i don’t know if it would have hurt if i had a lump - i don’t want to mis-inform anyone, just my experience, and hopefully it will put someone’s mind at rest xx
