I’ve been having pain in my left breast and armpit a few weeks, just put it down to muscle strain or something. Last night I saw a shared fb post about a dimple, realiseed I have one and made a drs appointment. I was hoping she would tell me its nothing but she found a lump so with that, the pain and dimpling I’ve got an urgent referral. Didn’t sleep last night as I’m just sure I’ve got it and so so worried about my kids, as I’m a single mum and self employed to boot.
Hi ,try not to panic (easier said than done I know!!),your GP cannot possibly know what is going on inside your breast ,if they have any certainty whatsoever they refer you to the breast clinic for further tests ,only an ultrasound /mammogram can give a clear enough picture .There are a number of non cancerous breast conditions that can present worrying symptoms .Vast majority of referrals to breast clinic turn out to be nothing to worry about ,if you read many of the threads in this section of the website you will see many ladies reporting back that their very worrying symptoms turned out to be nothing to worry about .Fingers crossed you are the same .Jill.
