I’ve had 4 years on Arimidex, Femara and now Aromasin and all have caused severe joint pains and many other problems. Earlier this year I had some breakthrough vaginal bleeding (I had a hysterectomy years ago and so it must be from the vagina) and saw a GP. She said I have inflamed atrophic vaginitis and only my oncologist could prescribe estrogen cream (the only solution). My onc said I could take it at my own risk. Intercourse is totally impossible now as it is too painful and I don’t know whether to risk using an estrogen cream. A friend has recently been told that her cancer has spread to her vagina and her only symptoms were breakthrough bleeding!
Could I have cancer there? I dont know what to do or where to go for advice. My GP was useless and my onc wasnt interested. Has anyone else experienced this? Please help.
P.S. I regularly use Replens and have done for 4 years. It often burns when I use it even though it’s a bland substance.
