Vaginal dryness libido long gone !!

Sensitive subject I know but I would appreciate any advice on this delicate issue. First a little bit of history I was first dx July 2002 age 49 ER + and chemo stopped my periods. Commenced on Tamoxifen initially then switched to Arimedex due to bad night sweats and was on these until 2008. I was also dx with Osteoporosis in lower spine which my GP thought that the Arimedex was a contributory factor another reason to stop them. Meanwhile the vaginal dryness was a major factor in a lack of enthusiasm in the bedroom to be honest it was very painful and the thought of the pain just turned my libido right off. Thankfully I have a very understanding husband. I discussed this with my GP and over a period of time I tried Sylk and Replens but for various reasons they did not suit me. My GP eventually prescribed Vagifem after consulting my oncologist for their opinion. I was using these pessaries up until I was dx with mets. pleura, lung and bones last year with good effect. Since stopping the pessaries I am now very uncomfortable again and currently using Yes water based applicators. Initially twice weekly but now have increased to every night on GPs advice. I am hoping that these will eventually work as they do not contain hormones but I am seriously considering whether the Vagifem is the only product that will keep me pain free down in my intimate regions. I am also wondering as well if the Exemestane has exacerbated the problem but in it’s defence will also help protect me on Vagifem. I will discuss this at my next oncology appointment but meanwhile I wondered if anyone else has had similar problems. Xx Ann xx
