I am oestrogen positive and would like advice about what vitamins/supplements to take. I currently take a multivitamin and was taking cod liver oil tablets, but discontinued them as they contain soya (so much stuff contains soya which I can’t have).
I had surgery, chemo and rads, and now on tamoxifen, so anything to give my poor body a boost would be much appreciated.
HiTeresa, i seem to have had the same as you. I have taken evening primrose oil for about about 20 years and couldnt live without them. I did stop taking them while on chemo as i couldnt face swallowing them and i didnt want anything to interfear with the chemo.
So i take 1,000 mg EPO
1 a day chelated calcium, magnesium and zinc
milk thistle - i take them (1 3x day) now and again to give my liver a treat.
My onc told me i could take anything as long as it didnt contain phytoeostrogens.
I eat plenty of fruit and veg and i think as long as you eat a balanced diet you dont need large amounts of anything else so i would think your multi vit is a good one to take. Its very easy to take extra something and that inturn can make other vits and minerals out of balance.
