Volunteers needed to host at “Question Time" style events for the upcoming General Election

The General Election is just around the corner and Breast Cancer Care has big plans to make sure that breast cancer is on everybody’s agenda. We’d like to use the General Election in May as an opportunity to highlight how MPs can help to improve services for people affected by breast cancer.

We’re looking for volunteers that would be interested in hosting “Question Time” style question and answer events in March or April with their current MP and other candidates standing in the election.

The aim of the event would be to enable people affected by breast cancer in your area to question their election candidates about the policies that affect them. They’ll be looking to engage with as many of their constituents as possible in the run up to the General Election so this is a great opportunity to tell them about how they can support people affected by breast cancer and to scrutinise their policies.

The Policy and Campaigns team at Breast Cancer Care will be on hand to support you every step of the way with regular catch ups, resources and template letters. We will help with the organisation of the event we’ll come along on the day to help you.

If this sounds like something you might be interested in the Policy and Campaigns team would love to hear from you. We’ll send you an FAQ document and a ‘how-to guide’ to help you get started. Email campaigns@breastcancercare.org.uk to find out more.

Thank you
