Sorry to hear that you are worried but it is good that your onc is investigating your pain. Obviously it could turn out to be ‘just’ hip pain, which I hope it is, or possibly secondaries, which I hope it isn’t. I have secondaries in my hip/pelvis plus spine and have been living with secondary BC for 4 years now. I didn’t have to anxiety of waiting for a scan and then results as I was diagnosed out of the blue but do completely understand how scary this time is. I will say try not to think of it, but we all know that’s impossible. I hope you do not have too stressful a time before next Tuesday and do come back on here for help and support.

Fingers and everything else crossed for a clear scan. That’s the flip side to having a thorough onc, of course! It’s great that they are cautious and investigate promptly, but we then have the scanxiety to deal with… I hope the next few days pass quickly for you and that you are back on here very soon telling us that you had good news.
