I had a total duct excision on 16th Nov and have an appt for 1 Dec to get my results. Does it usually take to this long or is this a good sign it’s nothing sinister? I’m going crazy not knowing.

All hospitals are different but all my results (after biopsies, MRI, surgery etc) took at least 2 weeks, sometimes 3. In my case, I believe this was because the results were reviewed by a multi-disciplinary team which met weekly who had to sign off any results and conclusions and then my appointment had to coincide with the breast surgeon’s clinic.
Waiting for results is horrible though so call your breast cancer nurse or the Helpline here to talk things through - I have always found them very helpful.

Please don’t read anything into the time between your surgery and results appointment: there are quite a few “wheels that need to turn” before your appointment, the tissue needs analysing in the lab and this involves staff and then arranging staff for your appointment. I think my results were around 2 weeks after my surgery which I think is normal
