Hello everyone. Thanks for all the posts I’ve been reading through them, it’s a lovely community. I’m posting this as I’m just stressed out waiting for (more) results and not hearing from the hospital. I was diagnosed mid August with ILC and had a lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy early September. I had 1/2 positive lymph nodes so had an axillary clearance over 2 weeks ago. The drain was taken out after 2 days and the doctor who took out the drain said the pathology results would arrive last Thursday and I should have an appointment this week with the surgeon. I’ve heard nothing from the surgeon but instead been given a clinical oncology appointment for late November. I called the nurses yesterday just to ask when I might hear something from the surgeon (even a wound check) and no one got back to me. I know this waiting is usual, but just feeling a bit fed up. Any kind and wise words would be much appreciated. Thanks!
@frazzle100 Thinking of you. So sorry your have been left handing on its so unfair, however I understand results are taking longer due to staff shortage, this doesn’t help you.
Please call again tomorrow, don’t think your being a nuisance because your not you need to know what happening and when your next appointment is, this is all part of your healing process. Fingers crossed you will get an appointment in place soon

Hi, I had total left sided lymph nodes cleared 2 weeks ago and my surgeon called today to give me the good news that it was clear. I could see online that my result was available yesterday but couldn’t see the actual result. Do you have such online access?
Thanks so much for replying. It sounds like we were having the same operation at a similar time. Only a few of the ‘results’ show on the online platform and nothing since September. I’ve phoned the nurses again, so hopefully I’ll get some indication as to when I might find out. Hope you’re recovering okay and thanks x.
My left arm movement is quite limited though improving with exercise. I’ve got cording and waiting for physio appointment. Hope you hear back from your team soon. Not knowing can cause a lot of anxiety.
