Hi,
I have recently found a lump and was referred to the breast clinic by my doctor. I saw the doc on Monday and had the appointment letter 10 mins after I left for the following Friday. It was supposed to be a ‘one stop shop’ type appointment but I ended up not having any tests other than an examination because the radiologist wasn’t in.
The consultant said she would request an urgent appointment for a scan/biopsy to be done. Since then, which was Friday morning I haven’t heard anything. The waiting is horrible and I had psyched myself up to have all the testing done in 1 day.
Is it normal to have to wait for the appointment to come through? I don’t know if i am just stressed out or if I have been missed somehow? Can anyone let me know if you had to wait to receive an appointment or if you got it after a couple of days? I think I’m going mad in limbo! Thanks
