Waiting, Waiting , biopsy results

Have I got breast cancer? Appointments and waiting for test results

Ahh waiting for surgical biopsy results ,waiting and waiting.

I know logically that its probably benign but it does not feel any better when you are on Day 13 and waiting but i’m not keeping track of this waiting ,not at all !!

Probably not helped from reading pathology results M3 and U3 and fibroadenoma? 5cm.

But statistically highly likely to be benign as core biopsy was benign though growing. And pathology does think fibroadenoma

Filling up my time with lots of prayer/ meditations ( something i do but deff more to keep me grounded.)

And I am out every evening this week with various activities with friends so that will help.

Any other suggestions to help me pass this time ?
I normally do dancing that sort of thing but have to be a bit gentle because of the surgery but I am walking.

This whole waiting process started in nov 2025 and GP did not think anything to worry about so I had to wait till Jan 26 to go to the screening mammogram in my area. I suppose that is lucky as if I had been younger I would not have been screened at all.

I think I’m just getting feelings out.

You sound like you’re doing all the right things to keep yourself occupied. I also did a lot of reading, doing puzzles and watching rubbish on the TV to stop my brain from processing. Your worry is understandable and totally normal. Whatever the outcome is for you, the feeling of stress and worry is just the same. Maybe a call to the breast unit to check when they think it will be processed???

I hope above all hopes that your results will come back negative. Hopefully it won’t be long now before you’re out of your misery.

Thanks so much for your kind thoughts.

I think I will ring the clinic tomorrow as that is probably one of the things that is making me anxious- not knowing whether I will be rang for an appointment or have a letter. I never thought to ask.

I love the idea of watching rubbish TV definetly going to do that!

Finally after 4 months I got the all clear/ negative result for my biopsys/various tests

Very relieved and glad it is good news for me.

The nurse rang me first thing this morning as I had been waiting for such a long time to find out, which was really kind of her.

Oh Lori that is such good news! Thank you so much for sharing. It was way too long to have to wait, but at least the result is good. Also you now know they’ve been REALLY thorough. My friend had one of her biopsies sent to the States. Maybe something similar happened for you. Who knows? The main thing is that it was a positive result. I could not be more happy for you. Thank you for sharing this lovely news with me. xxx

I always have a few minutes each day where I reflect on the interactions I have had with people ,gratitudes etc , so today I will add this lovely forum to the list.
