Hi, I’m new to this and not sure if I am doing it right as I have posted a message but then couldn’t find where it had gone on the forum? Can anyone please help and advise me what I have done wrong?
Also, can anyone tell me whether I will put on weight with FEC chemo?

anyway I had FEC and also taxotere. I think due to the steroids that you are given, some people can put on weight during their treatment. I put on at the end and I think this was due to being inactive, eating lots of rubbish and also the appetite that steroids give you.Still trying to lose it - not doing amazingly - I reckon I’m about at least 1/2 to 3/4 stone heavier than before treatment.

I have had 3 FEC and have definitely put on weight - I don’t want to weigh myself but I think it’s about half a stone so far. I have 3 FEC to go.
I put on no weight at all during 4x FEC and 4xTaxotere as my appetite was not great (everyting tasted horrid) and my mouth was sometimes sore!
I have been having Herceptin for 10 months and am on Arimidex, and I have gained about 10lbs. (Not a big problem cos I only weighed 7 stone previously). But I think it’s just that I am eating more of the naughty stuff! I ate more healthily before, but now I think what the hell and down goes another mince pie/chocolate bar/dumpling or cake!

I had 6 fec and put on 2 stone …i tryed hard not to put on weight but it just kept comming…
I am now trying to get it off and lost 10 pound in a week …but i think that was fluid…
but i would not worry to much just get your self through the chemo…and then deal with weight…I know it’s crap that you have to go through this but stay strong and you will be fine
