Had a stressful week waiting for MRI results but managed three meat free days and two alcohol free nights and lost another 2lbs. I’m now 18lbs less after chemo and nearly near my target weight. I know that there are loads of other things to be thinking about but losing my chemo weight has been very encouraging. I do enjoy the WW recipes - the roast red pork and rice is really nice!
Good luck girlies, I’m joining in as really neeeeeeed to lose soooooooo many excess pounds.
Had my last Tax 12th Jan, from start of chemo to end I’ve put on just over a stone, a lot for someone who is short and was petite!
All in together girls … sounds the encouraging way to go.
Put my foot down tonight and told OH (he’s a chef) NO MORE chef’s rich food, I WANT cook’s food. So, this evening I prepared our meal… vegetable soup followed by grilled haloumi cheese and mixed salad, such a pleasant change from meat, meat and more meat covered in cream lol. I think I’ve convinced him it’s the way forth …we’ll see.
Eat healthy girls and you’ll get there.
Oh, and yes the curry recipe tickled my fancy too. Will try that when have the spice ingredients.

Well I have now had a week of eating better and went to Weight Watchers to get weighed this morning. I have lost 4 1/2 lbs which I know is really good but part of me expected a little bit more lol
I need to remember that I dont have much energy at the moment and am not as active as I could be, am taking Tamoxifen which I dont think helps and am trying to recover from recent radiotherapy and get back to work slowly. All in all I am expecting alot and have now convinced myself that actually all in all 4 1/2 lbs is good…
Ive got to go to bed for a couple of hours lol
Anne
Wow Anne, 4 1/2 lbs is brilliant - well done! I don’t think rapid weight loss is necessarily a good thing. I’ve been on WW since the end of August and apart from an initial 3 1/2lb loss in first week, I’ve been gradually losing around 1lb a week. I’m sure this is a good way to lose that additional weight I put on during chemo and hope I can keep it off. I haven’t really felt deprived of food and I do now think about what I put in my mouth! X
I joint w/w 2 weeks ago this mon.Im 3 years round feb and have gained 2 stone on top of my other stones lol :(.Time for me to start losing the stones and time to start living again.Im in it for the fight and will have a better chance being slimmer.could not of done a diet while having treament.Good luck to all you on your diets

hi ladies-i lost a pound this week-i wish it was more but i know the ww food plan is designed to lose up to 2lbs a week-must listen to my own advice lol x
Well done!
I’m smiling to myself as you sound just like me.
Anne
Well done Anne and ethlydsl, great when it comes off like that! I lost a pound this week. I’m just glad that the weight gain has halted and I seem to be making some progress!
However I am going out for an Italian meal tonight with some friends and our mums! Tomorrow is another day!
Take care girls, xx
Just thought I would give a bit of an update - I have now lost 10 lbs over 4 weeks and have not weighed yet this week. I thought it would be impossible whilst on Tamoxifen, I had 1 week where I stayed the same but managed to stay on track and then lost weight again the following week. It feels so good to be doing something successfully and I know it will reduce the risk of cancer in the future
Anne
That’s fantastic Anne! Well done. I’m stuck on having lost 2lb in total!
Zumba starts again this week and I’m hoping that will help.
Dx
Im sure the Zumba will help and you can have some fun too.
I am gonna have to think about exercise, but have only just got back to work full time and dont want to overdo it - now that is sounding a little like an excuse
Anne
Congratulations to y’all! 10lbs ia a lot to lose and even 2lb well if it’s stopped going on, that’s half way to it coming off
It is very hard when you’re on tamoxifen and or when you’re working and stressed.
So glad I found this thread again, I was just getting tempted to make another fishpaste and mayo sandwich before bedtime but you encouraged me. Will do tomatoes on crispbread instead, if I’ve still got the munchies when the kettle is boiled. No calories in a hot herbal I think. Great Teamwork eh?
Anne - working full time is not ‘just’ an excuse. I was back full time at the beginning of November and it’s only in the past few weeks that I’ve had any energy to do anything after work!
Dx
Quick update - got on the scales this morning and I’ve lost another 2lb - every little helps. Just another 10 to go!
Thats great, keep doing what your doing
