Welcome to a new era!!
Welcome to a new era!! I want to thank BCC for providing this forum for men to discuss what it is like to be faced with a diagnosis of breast cancer.
I hope this resrouce as well as the new printed resource now available reaches the men who need help and information regarding the disease.
Best wishes to everyone.
Willy
— I hope many men will take advantage of this new resource and give and take help and advice from it
Mitch How are you Mitch? Are you well?
I was diagnosed four years ago with IDC and had a double masstectomy (delayed) and then chemotherapy and now take ARIMIDExX
Things have been tough, as you may know, but I’m gradually realising that I will never be the same person - not a worse one but just changed a bit!!
I hope things go well for you.
Willy

—Willy —I am well thank you. I hope you are too.
I was diagnosed 6 years ago, and at first had a lumpectomy, because they thought I had DCIS then a mastectomy, as they found one lymph node involved. I was on Tamoxifen for 5 years, coming off it a year ago. There were no side effects, apart from putting on weight, which is still with me.
Even after 6 years, I am still aware of my mastectomy scar, as it still sometimes feels puffy, which the docs say is normal.
I hope more people join us as the new forums become established.
