Benign breast conditions such as cysts or calcification can cause anxiety. If you have any questions or want to discuss this, post here.

—Benign results —Hi I just wanted to share my experience with people who have been diagnosed with Breast Calcifications. I had never heard of these before. I went with a lump had my mamogram and it came back with suspisious calcifications. No problem with the lump it seemed to have shrunk. I trailed the internet on every web site looking for any thing to do with this condition. I had to have a core biopsy and was very nervous but the hospital staff are brilliant. The waiting is the worse time seems to drag so much, however they rang me with my results a week later and I was thrilled when they told me they were benign. I have to have another mamogram in six months and see my consultant in 3 months for a further check. But for all you girls out there, good luck and don’t do what I did and go on the internet I don’t think it helped me. I was glad I found this web site it did help to look at the forums and see that I was not alone.

Phylloddes Tumour I was diagnosed last March 05 with a Phyllodes Tumour after having a fibroadanoma removed. Had WLE and so far so good. Have just had surgery in the other breast to have another lump removed just waiting for results.
Is there anyone else out there that has had a Phyllodes Tumour diagnosed? Noone seems to have heard of it.

Geanie

You are correct in saying that very few people have heard of this type of tumor. I recently had one removed and found it hard to find information in medical books.
I went to the hospital for my results, and was told my lump was a Phyllodes tumor. I recieved no information at all except that i will need another oeperation to remove tissue around the same area, which they have since told me by post I won’t be needing. I still have alot of unanswered questions but i’ve found the internet to be fantastic. I hope you have better luck.
