We're looking for people to take part in research around the use of AI in the NHS

Hi all,

My name is Lauren, and I’m one of the policy officers here at Breast Cancer Now.

NICE have just released a consultation looking at the use of AI tools for assisting the process of analysing biopsies. These technologies would be used to assist the review, rather than used for final decision-making, and could help patients receive their biopsy results sooner.

We’re looking for people who would be willing to talk to us about their experiences of getting diagnosed with breast cancer, waiting for biopsy results, and their opinions on the use of AI for this process, as well as more generally within the NHS.

We are looking to set up interviews lasting up to 1 hour. Your insights and experiences would then be used to shape our response to this consultation, bringing the patient voice directly to NICE.

If you’re interested, or would like more information, please email policy@breastcancernow.org. Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you!

Anything to make the biopsies quicker would be good. Only new diagnosed, so only had one biopsy before but happy to chat

You might want to note that AI also has another meaning in this field.
