Hey, I’ve was diagnosed on the 11th November. Since then it’s been a whirlwind of appointments and waiting. I’ve had surgery and I’m due to start chemo on New Years Eve… I’m 36 and have no kids… So many decisions have had to be made! I just really wanted to say how amazing the NHS staff have been through this… The Breast Cancer nurses have been AMAZING! Did anyone else find that the oncology staff were all doom and gloom? I had my first appointment with them on Thursday and I came out thinking I was going to die… The Breast Cancer nurses had made me feel really positive and I felt that all their fab work had been undone ? I was diagnosed the same week as you, have had surgery and now waiting for my appointment with oncology (In Shropshire) I have to agree with you - I couldn’t have been better looked after by the NHS staff, so supportive! I shall bare you comments in mind when I meet my oncologist and try not to get despondent if they are the same!! Good luck with your journey - take care xx
