What a week!!!

well I started my week worried that my dads throat cancer was back … pleased to say it was a false alarm. AND then yesterday morning i found a lump in my remaining boob!!! I called my BCN as soon as i could By 9:30 I had been giving an appoinment at the breast clinic in the afternoon (my hos does breast clinic thur and mon pm) So feeling sh!t scared of hubby and i went. I finish chemo next week, why was this happening!
I was seen by the surgeon who did my MX after some prodding he said it was just a cyst actually 2 which had filled up… he drained them there and then ( I wont describe what came out).I left with 2 plasters but no bravery sticker.
I know from my mammo and ultrascan 6 months ago that i had lots of cysts, but didnt know that chemo could make them swell and need draining… but I guess that this is the sort of thing we have toget use too… every time we find some lump or bump we panic, Its just so good to know that not all lumps are cancer.
Thats all folks !,… next week will be more relaxing …

Fantastic news on both counts! I hope you have a great weekend.

am so pleased for you and your dad sounds like you have some celebrating to do xxx

Hi there,
I read your post about your Dad and so glad you’ve had good news for that and also about your lumps - so nice when people post that something has turned out to be a false alarm - although i know it dosn’t stop you worrying at the time. Keep well
cheers

What a relief, eh! So very pleased for your dad’s good news, and also for your own.

I’ve also been back just after chemo and before rads because I was all lumpy, and had loads of cysts drained. The first time I had three drained and then I had to go back a second time because I found more lumps on the other side and the BC side was still lumpy, so the lovely doc drained everything that I could feel, just so I would be able to identify any new lumps if they turned up. Felt like a flipping pin-cushion afterwards, with 3 cysts drained on one side and 4 on the other, after having 3 drained the previous week!

The fluid is normal if it’s anything in the colour range of pale yellow to something that looks like stale beer. (Ah, that explains it, I now know where the London Pride I’ve been drinking has been going!)

The dr drained what seemed like a lot… I thought OMG my boob is going to look like a deflated balloon!
