Tomorrow will be a year from being diagnosed with Grade 2 invasive ductal carcinoma. Well I have got through it - 2 ops, chemo, sickness, hair loss, radiotherapy and hot flushes ( still going with them!).
Would not want to ever repeat the last year, but treatment other than Tamoxifen is over and have just got back from a wonderful holiday.
Lets hope the next year is less eventful!!!
It’s a year today that I had my stereotactic biopsy, then went on to have WLE/SNB/MX/Chemo/Rads and now on tamoxifen. Phew! What a rollercoaster it’s been. Feeling good now - I recently had a fab holiday too, did me the world of good x Glad you’re the same
Glad you have also got through it and feeling better. Its weird, I had forgotten the exact dates and checked my letters tonight.I had my biopsies a year ago yesterday and was given the diagnosis a year ago tomorrow! God I wouldn’t want to go through those following few weeks again.
Glad your feeling better. My anniversary is next month and I feel a lot better now.Only problem I have is big ovarian cyst which I have developed and going in for Hysterectomy on Sunday. never knew it was there came up on Mri but no ill effects from it.
Good to hear from you again. How are you getting on?
I had a mammogram 3 weeks ago, just before going on holiday as I didn’t want to worry about it when I was away (it was due to be done a few days after I came back).Luckily I had it done at Sloane so they let you know straight away as I then had to have an ultrasound because they were worried about the other side.Thank god all was ok!I think my next follow up is December with Mr D.
Hi Soi,
Happy 11 month anniversary!!!
Good luck with your Hysterectomy. I am sure ovarian cysts and breast cancer are related. I had to ops for ovarian cysts and then a hysterectomy 3 years ago. My gynaecologist said they are not related and oncologist said that research is still being done.
Let me know how you get on.
