i have had bc 15yrs ago. going for last treatment was in serious road traffic accident. 3 cars etc. broken neck damaged spine mental breakdown etc. im an outwardly cheery irish lass and fought hard to get better. son and daughter .both live away from home. loving caring husband.been on lithium fr 15yrs plus many others drugs. very strong for my family. im disabled but get around house and small walks r take wheelchair. im worried that i may have recurrance. biopsies taken and get results monday. worried that back,hip leg ribs stermom may have c cells!!!will ask for bone scan wth dye, what else should i ask for? iv had long muscle in my back spastic since accident which they never knew what cause and may give botox injections into it. never seen anything like it before.
Hi Nori, Sorry to read your story. Gosh girl you have been through the mill. The bone scan should tell them all they need to know regarding your bones but they may want to move on to a CT Scan and MRI if they think it necessary. I have bone mets and have been getting treatment for this for 10 years and the pain is under control. I had BC originally 20 years ago. My husband too has been on lithium for years but is coping well on it. He came off antidepressants years ago and we both retired early from work. Keep in touch and let me know how things are going. Thank you for your reply. sounds like you have been dealt a bad hand too!!! I am getting my results tomorrow and depending on what they are, i will definately be asking for any scans that will detect ‘C’ and hopefully give me a pathway to treatment. x nori.
