I had wle 18 months ago but have never seen my pathology report. Today, whilst at drs for something else, i saw on the screen that my cancer was idc 7 multifocal.
I understand the idc bit but can anyone help with the 7 multifocal bit please?
Breast cancer in which there is more than one tumor, all of which have arisen from one original tumor. The tumors are likely to be in the same quadrant (section) of the breast.

Thanks Chipper - but i have always been told i had 1 2.1cm tumour.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
Just remembered when i was dx the mammo showed a possibility of a 2nd lump in same breast. I was sent for mri which confirmed just one lump.
Think that this was maybe what i read! Perhaps was written before mri result. Not sure about the 7 bit though! ?

I have also Multifocal Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, It means that Its in more than one area, I have three tumours.
