Everything I needed during chemo was free from my hospital [Northampton] including eyedrops and a huge tub of E45 cream when my skin was so dry.
Hi all,
I’ve mentioned before in another thread that if you are on a low income and have less than £16,000 in savings, you can get free or reduced prescriptions(depending on circumstances). You just have to fill in a HC1’help with health costs’ form which you can get from hospital,GP,Job centre or online.
While you are waiting for the form, when you go to pick up meds, ask Chemist for a FP57 form. This is a receipt. You must get it when your prescription is dispensed. You can’t get one later. You can then go back to the chemist when they send you your HC2 certificate and claim it back.
I hope this is helpful.
