To return to the original thread of side effects - what and when - I thought I’d report back, perhaps for the benefit of those about to start rads.
I’m now 9 days after the last of 15 rads, during which I had a pink and hot reaction during the first few days, then it settled down for the rest of the course. By the end of the 15 my breast was a bit hot on the surface and tender inside, plus a bit swollen. Since then the surface reaction has been gradually calming down, now at approx normal temperature and looking gently tanned, but the tissue keeps stiffening up inside and I’m having to work quite hard at exercising to ease that off. I’ve been off work throughout so not been affected by tiredness, except for loss of sleep caused by hormone therapy, but that’s another subject…
