What time to take zarzio injections

Should I take my Zarzio injections at a certain time? Or is anytime OK? Many thanks

The BCN nurses are back today after a well deserved New Year Break.

It may be quicker to get an answer calling 0808 800 6000 9-4 or call your own breast care team.

Thank you. I called and they have recommended taking in the evening. Very helpful advice.

Hi excellenthelp

Thanks for posting.

Xario (filgrastim) is used to prevent infection in people who have low levels of white blood cells which can occur during chemotherapy treatment. It is used to stimulate production of white blood cells and may usually be given at any time of the day but should be given around the same time each day. You may wish to discuss this with your breast care nurse or treatment team to check with them if they want you to use it at a particular time.

You can find more information on Xario (filgrastim) by following the link to Cancer Research UK where there is also a video explaining how to give the injection under the skin.
