When does the tiredness kick in?

Everyone is different, Blue80, as you say, so you’ll just have to see how you feel and rest if you need to. It will be a good idea to organise some support with the kids, if possible, and explain the situation to work. Better to have help ready and not need it than vice versa? Hope it all goes well for you. The end of treatment and a return to some sort of normality is in sight! x

I think everyone is very different. I had 5 days of accelerated radio.

I found it’s come in waves for me - I feel there’s been a lot of inflammation that’s affected my whole body at times too. I seemed to get random days of extreme Tiredness in the first couple of weeks after the radio, but would then be ok. I seemed to swell up a lot and the cording that had fully healed came back for a bit.

fatigue was pretty solidly an issue week 3 and 4 and those were the weeks where I sometimes struggled with even walking the dog but I started to feel a lot better in week 5 and could start doing more slightly vigorous exercise. I’m going to start increasing that but I’m currently off work and the children are at school till Thursday afternoon. (My job is too physically demanding but I may have been able to manage an office job or wfh.)

During this time though the tamoxifen has clearly been kicking in / wrestling with my ovaries, as well as getting used to new dose of thyroxine so I may be worse than some.

I have walked the dog a lot throughout and I do think walking or any exyyou can manage is really helpful.

Make a lot of use of Xmas tv!
