LLadies I had my diep recon 5 weeks ago. How soon do you think I can be measured for new bras? I’m so fed up with 2 pocketed st surgery bras with a prothesis and since my recon the lovely stretchy crop sports bras!!!

I was wondering the same thing. I am almost 3 months since last reconstruction and reduction to good breast. I’ve waited until now as with previous recons I tend to swell slightly so I’ve waited for this to subside before being measured. My PS said that after I’ve fully healed I could go back to wearing underwired bra, I’ve not worn those since my mx.
I agree, it will be lovely not to wear sports bras!!!

just to let you know how I got on. I saw the ps at 6 weeks and was told I could now wear any bra including wired. When I left the hospital I went straight to M&s and came away with 3 sets of very pretty,normal underwear. It was lovely after 2 years of a pocketed post surgery bra and prosthesis. I,m really pleased with my lovely new cleavage and flat tummy and have even brought a bikini for my upcoming holiday!

I too went this weekend and I had forgotten how wonderful you feel when you’ve got lovely underwear on.
I got 3 bras from M&S and really pleased with them all.
Well worth the wait have fun shopping!!!
