When is the best time to take estmestane?

I probably havent spent that correctly. Aromisin is it’s other name. I just wondered whether it is better to take it in the evening or morning. Any advice ladies ? Also what se s should I expect

Hi cromercrab, I take Aromasin last thing at night not sure why or if there would be any difference but i just continued my normal routine after taking Tamox at night for 2+yrs, make sure you take Aromasin with or after some food (doesnt need to be much)as they can make you feel a bit nauseaus sometimes otherwise .

The SEs for me are pretty much like the Tamox ,though i do get much more joint pain/stiffness on Aromasin, both drugs have also made my migraines more frequent,and i still get the horrible leg/foot cramps most days but other than that SEs havent been too bad.
As with all meds SEs vary in different people and some ladies have no or minimal SEs, so untill you try a drug its hard to say how it will affect each of us individualy , Aromasin is an exelent AI and all the clinical trial results on its use have been extreamly encourageing.
It costs £115+ per box so it better be good lol!

i was recently swapped from Arimidex to Exemestane,
I’ve always taken my Arimidex at 9am so i started to take
the Exemestane at the same time,

however i felt awful very dizzy and sickness,
the dizziness was scary it was so bad.

So i tryed changing the time i take it to 7pm,
and it has worked for me.

hi all.

i take exemastane somewhere between 6 - 8pm when having my tea. i do get stiffness and joint pains plus the usual hot flushes but am trying exercise which is helping but if have couple of days off comes back, still work full time so managing on it, also i did feel better on tamoxifen but i am happy if it is working.

Thanks everyone.
I have taken it @7pm and will see how it goes. Incredibly I am also on weekly Tax, Herceptin and Zometa ( the last 2 are every 3 weeks,) plus an anti infalammatory. I love my onc. I had my poison today and he toddled in to see me and handed over more drugs. I have had my 11th of 18 tax. In for a penny I say lol.Oh, and i have also had 6 FEC just prior to this.
