Just been diagnosed with DCIS plus grade 2 cancer and waiting for lumpectomy and node surgery. Absolutely no lump could be felt and no discharge, itching or pain just a tiny skin dimple so all this came as quite a shock. I’ve never been told whether I have dense tissue but I could see a lot of white feathery areas on what I saw of the mammogram and doubt if any clumped calcifications would be easy to see. I’m thinking I will probably look for somewhere that can offer private ultrasound or MRI going forward but have no idea where Spire health? anyone had experience or able to recommend somewhere. Im in Yorkshire but willing to travel.

I’m having my MRI in Spire Cheshire which is just outside Warrington. I’ve had a mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy all done there and they’ve been very quick and efficient.
There’s a Spire in Didsbury in Greater Manchester as well. That would likely be closer for you.
Thank you, I will take a look at what Spire can do. Just trying to feel in control of this thing at the moment.
