I have PMI with Bupa, it is very expensive and I have to have a very high excess to be able to afford the premiums. The renewal is now due and it has gone up again even though it is over 10 years since diagnosis and I finished 10 yrs of hormone treatment last year so I am now looking to get quotes from other companies.
Can anyone advise what companies are the best, I realise that I probably won’t get cover for cancer now.

Hi Hazelmary, Like you I have private health cover with Bupa but through my husbands company. I have to say they have been absolutely brilliant and I have not had to pay any excess so that is a plus. They have said I will be covered for life ( presumably as long as we pay the premiums ). I finished my treatment just before Christmas and I am due my first check up in March. We did research other insurances when my husband took early retirement but none of them could actually match Bupa. I think though its because my husband is still covered free through the company and my premium would be more with other companies. Good luck with your search.
As for me, there is no better medical care. Unfortunately, you have to have a thick wallet.
