I am on FEC5 and notice that I have a very thin layer of extra fine hair grow out today!!! Wonder who also has hair like this?? Should I be worried that the kimo is not working??

My hair also started to grow back before chemo ended, probably by the 5th FEC. In fact I never lost it completely- it was always a fine fuzz. I like you worried that the chemo wasn’t working but the onc assured me that everyone’s different. I lost hair from everywhere else except my eye brows - so it must have been doing something. Am interested to hear the experience of others. I only had FEC not Tax.
Only one more to go! Mine finished about a year ago - and my hair has grown back thick and dark - still a bit short for my liking - but getting there.

My hair also started growing back before the end. I had 4 x Epirubicin / cyclophosphamide during which all my hair fell out, then had 4 x Taxotere and my hair started to regrow - but at the same time most of my eyelashes and virtually all my eyebrows fell out! And the chemo was definitely working - I had an MRI scan 2 day after the last Tax, and they couldn’t find any active cancer cells at all, even though I started with 2 tumours, the largest one 6cm.

My hair completely fell out on Epi but grew back when I had xeloda. It is now very thick and curly and I actually like it!
my hair has started to grow back on docetaxal. I had three FEC and all my hair fell out. I am about to have my third and final (hooray!) docetaxel tomorrow and I have a fine covering of hair over my head and I have had to shave my armpits today however since starting the docetaxel I have lost my eyebrows and most of my eyelashes!
Mine grew back on taxotere too, having fallen out on FEC.
And yet another me-too. What kind of weird stuff is this taxotere/docetaxel (think they are the same thing???) that it makes your eyelashes and eyebrows fall out (sob!) but allows bum fluff to grow back on your head? I’ve read somewhere that this only happens when the taxotere follows FEC. If you just have Tax, it’s the boiled egg look all the way!
I’m having my third and final (massive hooray) taxotere on 21 Jan.
I get my second dose of epi tomorrow and my hair is now coming out bigtime…I’m casting like a dog all over the place…did all of you shave the lot off when it all started falling out? I think one night this week I’m going to let my husband loose with the clippers…very daunting…after my 4 epi’s I’m having CMF…anyone who had that regime when did your hair start to grow again?
Hi I lost my hair on epi, my husband shaved it all off for me it was a bit weird at first but you soon get used to it, my hair started to grow back about 2nd cmf so you shouldn’t be too long. I finished chemo yesterday and are off for rads planning in three weeks so now no appointments until then so great. I was on accelerated tact 2 trial so on my way now and you will be surprised how quickly it seems to go. Take care junieliz

I also had 3 FEC and had 2 out of 3 TAX (last one end of this month!!!)
I cold capped, so not quite the same as you all. I still have lots (though by no means all) of my hair but eyebrows and eyelashes bogged off when i went on to TAX. Hair loss appears less on TAX than FEC too…keep looking for regrowth but can’t see much happening yet.
I am wondering how my ‘new’ hair will grow through and if I will end up with a mixed head of staight, curls and different colours???
Hi Pheebs - no worries i could re assure you mine was still black ( my nature colour) and at some piont i did worried I might turn to ginger or anything else. Could not tell if it is striaght or not yet as it is very very short . I still have some hair hang on there - straight ( my nature way) and was dyed into reddish colour… Well I guess the positive side of having everything is that it will be at least obvious to tell whose new and whose not… 
All the lovely ladies here - thanks a lot for your input. Did spoken to my kimo nurse and she said it is normal for people have hair growth back in between kimos… she said it also means that maybe after the treatment is over- my hair will be back quickly. hope she said was true!!!

I did 3 FEC and lost hair after 1st dose but shaved it off when it started falling. Started to grow back after starting TAX but lost eyebrows and lashes.
Happy to report that approx 3 months after the last TAX my eyebrows and lashes started to grow back.
I now have all over hair coverage approx 2" long and lovely curls which are baby soft.
I don’t look any different from anyone else out there!
