It does change ou - and I didn’t have a bad time. The 15 sessions of adjutant radio-therapy took their toll in subsequent months. Now 18 months on I feel I am as near back to my old self and being two years older and less fit can be. In the interim I had little windows of feeling I was back to normal and windows of being tired. What I do do is give thanks for all the great treatment I had and that I have no other health issues. So, you’ll get there. You’ll probably be a different you but just as good - in fact better because you don’t have cancer anymore.

I am only 3 weeks post diagnosis so yet to go through any treatment but I too feel I am not who I was, nor will I ever be…physically or psychologically.
I have recently connected with the Penny Brohn Centre…a cancer wellbeing charity based in Bristol but who offer so much online support / 1-1 sessions - I have found them to be amazing already. They also offer 1-1 counselling. Everything is free to access.
Maybe have a look at their website.
i wish you all the best…stay strong ![]()
