My Mum went for her results from her lumpectomy and snb today and wasn’t good news
She has to have a masectomy and all of her nodes out as there was calcifications and pre cancerous cells in the tissue they took and behind her nipple and of the two nodes they took one was positive. I’m just devastated and feel like this will never end I feel so sorry for my Mum ![]()
I really feel for you because I have just watched(last year) my mum go through it. She had lumpectomy and 3 lymph nodes out. I felt useless but she is tough and got through it. I had mastectomy on 24th January and all my nodes out. I am glad because they found another lump that was hiding. I feel sore under my arm and a bit numb on my chest but ok otherwise. I have to have chemo but am inspired by the ladies I have spoke to. Try not to worry to much as your mum will get through it. I am a bit of a puff when it comes to pain but seem to just plod as will she. Much love and hugs suzanne. Xxxxxx

Bumblegirl I am so sorry to hear your news. I know you are devastated, but you will both get through this:)
All of us on here are fighting in your corner to help you and your mum. There are many women on here who are long term survivors. i am not one of those yet, but I sure mean to be! Just like your mum will be too:) Check out the inspirational stories section:) They are very helpful if you ever need it.
I will be thinking of you both and wish a speedy recovery for your mum x x x
My lovely Bumblegirl, it will end, nothing is forever… This will mean more chocolates, more trashy mags and more DVD’s. Believe you me, it is not a very nice time, having been thru a double mastectomy, old one re-done, and the other side operated on, recently, including some ,lymph node involvement. I can empathise
You are in a scary place, but get as much support as you both can, you don’t have to be brave, no medals for that. Encourage your mum to take pain killers as prescribed… Lots of love, and gentle hugs to you both.
Thank you so much for replying all of you and thank you for all your kind words. Sometimes I am feeling positive, other times I’m not. Just can’t wait to get through this. I hope you are all doing well xxxx
