Winter is almost here...

The trees have all lost their leaves and the cold winds have started… Winter is nearly here and my head is FREEZING…so, put your vibes minds into gear and send me some central heating for my head…LOL…wearing a warm hat is not helping much…brrrrrrrrr…LOL

Hey Boo

Seem to be responding to all your threads… I have my heating permanently on - this bc and not working is costing me a fortune!!!

Maybe I should start wearing a hat around the house - might make me warmer

I am warm everywhere else but not my head…odd or what!

Nothing surprises me anymore with this chemo lark

Have to say wig with hat on, does keep me warmer. When I was on FEC I felt the cold, terrible, not so bad on TAX.
The menopausal night sweats means the duvet is on/off all night. Sometimes several per night. Still, might be getting it over with in record time. Fingers crossed

I usually wear my wig but decided to wear a turban hat thing. I look like the ultimate cancer patient in it - it looks so naff on me!! I just wear it in bed now or when I want extra sympathy from my friends!! Not that I need it because they are all fab and I love them to bits!

I love these crisp autumn mornings. The colours are so beautiful. Has anyone else started to appreciate the things they never did before diagnosis? I hope once my treatment finishes I continue to think in this way because life is so beautiful.

My head is so cold at the moment that last night I wore a hat to bed (in between throwing everything off with the hot flushes!!!)

kelyn,

I laughed at your comment, had the same thing last night, sweating under the duvet and feeling boiling, but my head was freezing! ended up with no duvet and cooling scraf round my neck and a wooly hat! very funny sight.

I can’t sleep with a duvet over even when not chemo-ing. It’s way too hot, no matter what time of year. I have a sheet and a thin acrylic blanket over with the duvet folded double on the other side of the bed just in case I need it (which I did last night, so it *must* have been cold…). Actually even now the acrylic blanket is sometimes over and sometimes folded back…

… and our central heating is only on a couple of times a day, not all night…

mousy, who takes own bedding when staying Travelodge
