Wish me luck for tomorrow!

I’ve got my bi-monthly check up tomorrow at the BC clinic…my lump hadn’t shrunk anymore the last time I went (no surgery yet, but been on zoladex & letrozole since June), so I’m really hoping it has started to shrink again this time… and I’m going to wait for the consultatnt I should be under this time & not see the a***ole I saw last time, who really rubbed me up the wrong way (hadn’t read my notes when by the time he saw me, wanted to examine the wrong boob, couldn’t maintain eye contact, didn’t like me asking questions and was pretty damn obnoxious really! To say I was fuming by the time I got out was a bit of an understatement!) Anyway, fingers crossed it’s better news before Christmas

Good luck Hannah,

Here hoping a much reduced lump and a completly disappeared useless doctor. Stick out for who you want to see, its your right to have reasonable care, the doctor you described sounds a real clown.

Carol

Thanks so much for your messages
Well, I stuck it out & insisted I saw the chap I should be under, fortunately. Not so good news on the shrinkage front…my ultrasound showed that it hasn’t shrunk since my last appt 2 months ago, so thats now 4 months of non-shrinkage…grrr. However, it wasn’t as ‘black’ on the ultrasound as it was, which apparantly means it’s changing density. Initialy they were talking about booking me in for surgery (after them suggesting chemo, which again I have flatly refused) but then, he appeared to have a change of heart & said there was one more thing to try, so they’ve taken me off letrozole & put me on aromasin, for 10 wks (until my next appt), and if that hasn’t worked by then…then it’s surgery time. So, it wasn’t great news just before Christmas, but at least I can put off worrying about surgery until after the holidays are over! Fingers crossed the aromasin does something, at least then it’ll only be lumpectomy & rad, rather than mastectomy & rad.
