Work after breast cancer

Hi ladies,

I had breast cancer Aug 2014 mastectomy, chemo, rads, hormone therapy. Returned to work doing 24 hrs to make sure I got my redundancy that was on going before my breast cancer. Struggled at work due to neuropathy in my feet from chemo and Lypmphodema in my arm.

I have now been made redundant and would like to find an easier part time job but just wondered if anyone had returned to esa or claimed for not working after due to ongoing problems after breast cancer.

Is there also a claim you can make that you can claim and do permitted work of 16hrs?

Would be be gratefull of any information.

Hi Honey10,

I am also dealing with certain challenges around work, as I am facing losing my job, because I could not achieve set KPIs for my role.

It may be an idea for you to ring Macmillan on 0808 808 00 00 explain your challenge and they will be able to help and advise.

I certainly found them of much help and guidance in my case.

Hugs
