Worried - back pain

Hi Ladies, hope you can give me some advise?

I’ve had a stiff back over the past week and i’m getting worried, its not constant but when i move it hurts. its not in any one specific spot and the pain is accross the entire back and sometimes in one side then the other?

can anyone tell me if this is signs or symptoms of bone mets. I only had a bone scan in july which was clear?

Please comment.

Hi Sukes
you okay hon? Sorry you have something worrying again. What are we like? I had lumpy lymph nodes last week. I finally went and got it checked out only to be told I’m skinny so you can feel my lymph nodes! - a bit embarassing but hey at least it stopped the worry. There’s always something isn’t there. I have chronic rib pain from my recon and that sometimes spreads across my back. Mine comes and goes and the onc told me to worry only if it was there all the time and if it was suspiscious it would be in the same place all the time. I hope this is nothing sinister. If you recently had a clear bone scan then that is reassuring. Could you have strained it lifting the little one’s?? If you are worried then go to your GP, they will be understanding as they know the anxiety BC causes.

Hi E.

I’m glad it cause your skinny i have been looking up to see if you posted and all was okay. thank god it is.
its never ending is it just a 3 monthly cylce. I dont think i;ve picked the kids and didnt even go to the gym for the last week. as i say its not constant but just stiff. i have been sitting infront of the fire on the floor alot more recently and dont know if that can cause it. MY Oh thinks its cause i get period pains now and the occasional period and thinks thats whats causing it.
I#m so glad to hear your okay, chrimbo is coming up so you might put a bit of weight on hehe.

Hi Sukes
Are you on any hormone treatment eg Tamoxifen? All of those give aches and pains. Also I find when I sit in a bad position I get aches that get me worried, I DO have bone mets btw, but these all seem to go after a few days sitting properly! I think the general rule of thumb is if it persists or gets worse over 2 weeks get it checked out. All of my aches always go before then anyway, I hope yours do too.

Thanks for responding i am on hormone therapy and never thought of that as a potential cause. I am trying to sit proper just in case my posture isnt helping. Thanks for your advise and really appreciate you responding back to my concern.
