worried. has anyone else had radio who also suffers from CFS

I suffer from Fibromyalgia and CFS. basically it means that I am in 24 hour pain in all my mucles and I’m permanently exhausted. My daily activites are severely limited.
I’m woried about how my body is going to cope with all the daily travelling to and from the hospital. It might sound like nothing to most of you, but I cant take daily activity. I go out one day and rest the next or even for 2 days afterwards. For example, this week I had to be up early for appointments, at 7.30am. I was back in bed by 2pm shattered and didnt move. I couldnt make family tea and felt very guilty. By Thursday I was so exhausted I couldnt even get dressed.
I dont want to get into the situation where I go daily for my radiotherapy but by the 3rd or 4th day am so exhausted that I cant get out of bed to attend. I dont really fancy being an in patient for 5 days for 3 weks. Just wondered if any one has any experience?

Yes I can really sympathize with you ive had cfs for 20 years, now breast cancer, it’s really hard to take in isn’t it?.
I struggled travelling 100 miles round trip for 4 weeks to go to radiotherapy, unfortunately I have had a major relapse, I don’t wish to scare you but I am quite ill at the mo can hardley get about.

Ladies, my wife suffered from M.E / C.F.S for 4 years, she attended a course to clear it which worked so well. She was well for 4 months before her BC diagosis. She’s now in FEC chemo and the things she learnt on the course have helped her enormously.

knitnut, know of a lady who had various health problems making the daily trip for rads difficult. She stayed in hospital Monday-Friday why not ask if that could be an option for you. Just a thought, but I do hope it works out for you.

thanks for your reply Laptalass. I was wondering about this myself. I’m going to ask when I eventually go for the initial assessemnt. I’m going to ask if perhaps I can stay in a couple of nighs and go home a few and play it by ear.
