Hello ladies im worried sick about my mum. She is 44 and has complained of a breast lump which comes back each time she is due on her period but this month it has remained. The lump is about 1.5inch,hard,flat in shape and painful to touch.she has been referred to the hospital and has an appt next tuesday. Mum had a breast lump years ago which was benign. Im just so worried about her. She has been my tower of strength lately as i gave birth to my first baby in feb after i found out at a routine 20week scan my angel had died. Mum was with me all the way and now im just so terrified in case she is taken from me too. I know i should think positive but with everything thats going on i find this impossible and googling breast lumps which are hard, fixed, painful is bringing up some horrible results xx
Hi Sunny
I know how worrying it is for you, especially after what you have been through but please try and take each day as it comes. I know it’s easier said than done, but until you know what it is you are dealing with then you can’t deal with it.
All the ladies on here are really supportive - and it will help you to offload how you are feeling.
Take care
x
Hi Sunny
What a lovely daughter you are, to write and ask for help about your Mum.
You could call the helpline here and tell them your concerns, also they can give you some good advice on how best to support your mum through the waiting time, which is the hardest time of all!
I am nearly 44, same age as your mum, I have recently been through the waiting room and am back there next week again, with another round of tests. Best thing you can do for your mum is not google, until she knows what she’s dealing with, she cannot begin to tell you how to help her. Look after her, offer her an ear, offer to go with her next Tuesday, that will be a good opportunity for you to alleviate your concerns.
I am sorry for your own loss too. You and your mum can together come through these testing times.
Best of luck.
