Hi I am 50 I don’t have periods anymore I have a history of multiple cysts in my left breast hat 2 fibroidanema s removed at 16 and 23 had large cyst drained april 13 but been ok since except for severe breast pain which increased past couple of months going into my shoulder blades down my arm I’ve had cervical spine surgery nerve root decompression and facectectomy 2014 I put all pain down to nerve damage but past 4 weeks breast pain itching was getting worse thought I was having a heart attack during an attack I grabbed my right breast found a very very small hard lump between breast and armpit this concerned me as never had anything in right breast last wed 9 nov I slept over at my daughters woke thurs morning left breast was killing me burning bright red under my arms swollen had swelling that’s been coming up in collerbone area for few months that was up breast pain breast as hot to touch I went drs frid morning she examined me she found lump in right breast and her words we need to treat this as IBC scare my appt at breast unit is tomorrow evening the burning and pain as reduced in left breast with antibiotics but im very anxious this time as normally im like oh just another cyst but for weeks I’ve not felt right no energy weight loss basically felt like crap I feel the left breast went like that overnight as a way of saying u need looking at I’ve got a hard lump in left breast and skn above nipple feels different the redness is now pale pink and bruised like patches how many people have history of cysts go on to have ibc ty in advance
Hi Cath,sorry you are having such alarming symptoms .Im sure your GP is just playing safe by referring you but until you are seen you won’t be able to relax .The fact that you have had some improvement with antibiotics is hopeful .Good luck .
Thankyou for reply hun spent 2n half hours at the unit 2mammograms ultrasound needle and 8 biopsies taken between both breasts they said left lump looks like a cyst but right lump is suspicious also found another in right breast which they said I wouldn’t have felt myself im in shock as I honestly expected they are cysts you can go home I’ve got a week to wait for results now thanks again for taking time to reply xxx

Hi ladies sorry for delay got my results I’ve been diagnosed with grade 3 invasive ductal cancer and I’ve tested triple negative booked in for surgery 19th dec then chemo and radiotherapy ? xxx
Sorry to hear that Cath,even more miserable having to have op just before Christmas .Are you having lumpectomy ?
